No Browns player was supposed to be a serious fantasy threat this season. As it turns out, they have one of the game's best.
In a year full of monster performances, Hillis saved his best outing for Sunday. Taking on the Panthers, the 240-pound bulldozer cranked out 131 yards and three TDs on 26 carries in a victory. For good measure, he added six catches for 63 more yards, giving him 194 yards total. And to think, all Cleveland had to give up for him this past offseason was Brady Quinn.
Honestly, at this point, are there any backs in the league you'd rather have in your fantasy lineup than Hillis? The only one who could give him a serious run for his money is the Texans' Arian Foster. After Sunday, Hillis is up to an eye-popping 13 TDs, and he has scored in 10 of the team's 11 games. How's that for consistency? He's also racking up 82.3 rushing yards per contest. And if that's not enough, he has 46-414-2 receiving. No matter what type of league you own him in, he has been a monster contributor.
It's hard to imagine much stopping Hillis from being a fantasy superstar at this point. Other than a Week 16 matchup with the Ravens, there's not much that his owners should be scared about. And if you were able to scoop him up in a keeper league, you likely landed yourself a 2011 first-rounder.
