The Dolphins downgraded WR Brandon Marshall to out for their Week 12 game against the Raiders. Marshall didn't practice all week and had been listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury.
Marshall, who has had a frustrating season with his new team, injured his hamstring in the 'Fins' Week 11 loss to the Bears. He has been productive this season with 58 receptions for 693 yards, but he has just one touchdown.
The way we see it
This is not a surprise, considering Marshall did not practice once this week. The Dolphins will start Davone Bess and Brian Hartline at wide receiver, and undrafted rookies Marlon Moore and Roberto Wallace will have their first game with significant playing time.
While this increases the fantasy value for Bess and Hartline, start them with caution. The Dolphins' offensive line broke down against the Bears, and the passing game could not get going. The Raiders have one of the league's top passing defenses, and the 'Fins have struggled often on the offensive side of the ball. With Marshall out, though, RBs Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams could finally find some running room as they will be getting plenty of carries.
