While Broncos CB Andre Goodman isn't expected to be placed on injured reserve, we hear his injury may be worse than the team is letting on. The injury report has Goodman sidelined because of his hip, but a daily team observer told PFW that the 32-year-old is having problems with a nagging quadriceps injury. Goodman originally injured his thigh in a Week Two win over the Seahawks, which wound up costing him five games. We hear Goodman felt great heading into the Week Eight contest against the 49ers, but didn't tell team officials after feeling a tweak in warm-ups. He re-aggravated the injury, along with his hip, and hasn't played since. While head coach Josh McDaniels has repeatedly said that Goodman wouldn't be placed on I.R., the bigger question becomes whether or not it is worth bringing him back. The Broncos have one of the oldest defenses in the league, and Goodman himself has said rookie CB Perrish Cox has the skill set to be a Pro Bowler.
