Patriots QB Tom Brady will start Thursday against Detroit despite missing practice Tuesday with a foot injury.

For the Lions, RB Jahvid Best is active as expected. He was listed as probable on the injury report with a turf-toe problem that has plagued him for weeks.

The inactive players for Detroit are PK Jason Hanson, QB Matthew Stafford, OT Jason Fox, DE Willie Young, TE Tony Scheffler, DE Lawrence Jackson, OG Donald Thomas and the designated third QB, Zac Robinson.

New England's inactive list includes DL Brandon Deaderick, OT Mark LeVoir, OL Rich Ohrnberger, OG Stephen Neal, WR Taylor Price, DT Myron Pryor, CB Jonathan Wilhite and DL Mike Wright.

The way we see it

Obviously, having Brady on the field is key for the Patriots. However, they are hurting on the defensive line with both Deaderick and Wright on the sideline. There are no surprises with the Lions' inactive list.
