Buccaneers C Jeff Faine missed about one month earlier this season with a torn quadriceps, and head coach Raheem Morris made a comment that indicated Faine wouldn't just be handed his starting job when he returned in Week 10. He's started two games in a row since he recovered from the injury, however, and we hear his job is secure. Third-year swing backup Jeremy Zuttah filled in at center when Faine was injured and fared well. Zuttah had previously been a starting guard for Tampa Bay, but word is the team feels as though center is his best position. While Zuttah is a younger and much cheaper option than Faine, one team observer expects Faine will be the Bucs' starting center beyond the end of this season. Faine, who will turn 30 in April, is signed through 2013 and is due to make $4.575 million in 2011. He's playing well and provides steady leadership for the young team.
