Ahmad Bradshaw's case of fumbilitis was too much for Giants head coach Tom Coughlin. Brandon Jacobs will start ahead of Bradshaw in Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Coughlin announced Wednesday.

Bradshaw, who took over the starting role from Jacobs at the start of the season, lost his fifth fumble last Sunday night in the Giants' loss to the Eagles. The Giants have turned the ball over a league-high 30 times.

Coughlin said that carries will still be shared, but Jacobs gets the starting nod.

The way we see it

The Giants' turnover issue was on display to a national audience in Sunday night's loss. Jacobs, who has five rushing touchdowns and is averaging five yards a carry, has one lost fumble this year. He started 15 games in 2009 and 13 in 2008. Bradshaw has 867 rushing yards this season in 10 starts.

Fantasy Spin

Not only is Jacobs a better touchdown threat for fantasy purposes, he now could get the bulk of the carries, so he is a viable start in fantasy. Bradshaw shouldn't necessarily be benched in fantasy as Coughlin made it clear the load will be shared. Going against Jacksonville's 19th ranked rushing defense with injuries at wide receiver, each back could have a productive game.
