Bengals QB Carson Palmer will start on Thursday night against the Jets, even after missing practice on Monday.
Palmer has been bothered by a foot injury, but head coach Marvin Lewis was confident his veteran signalcaller would be healthy enough for the AFC wild-card rematch from a season ago come Thanksgiving.
If he were unable to play, Jordan Palmer, the starter's younger brother, would be the Cincinnati quarterback.
The way we see it
Carson Palmer has struggled in recent weeks while dealing with this foot problem, tossing five interceptions in the past two games. With a pair of big-name receivers lining up in the Bengals' offense, the team expects better numbers from their high-priced QB. Expect a few more interceptions this week against an opportunistic Jets defense.
