Here's a look at a key matchup heading into Sunday's Week 12 battle between the Eagles and Bears:
Eagles DE Trent Cole vs. Bears OLT Frank Omiyale
It has held up fairly well in recent weeks, but the Bears' offensive line is still a weakness other teams look to exploit. Dolphins OLB Cameron Wake had success rushing from a stand-up position off the edge against Chicago last week, and Eagles defensive coordinator Sean McDermott has a well-balanced weapon in DE Trent Cole, who is adept at defending the run and rushing the passer.
Cole will be battling OLT Frank Omiyale most of the game. Omiyale is serviceable and moves his feet well, but he'll get caught leaning forward and will lose leverage at times, putting QB Jay Cutler in danger. McDermott has a "Joker" package in which the speedy Cole rushes from a stand-up position, and he could be more likely to use it against the Bears if he likes what he sees from Wake when he watches the tape from Week 11.
It would be no surprise if the Eagles blitz frequently, so Omiyale could be sorting through heavy traffic at the snap. Offensive coordinator Mike Martz will likely have to call for Cutler to make short drops and get rid of the ball quickly.
