The Colts will keep WR Austin Collie out of Sunday night's Week 12 game against the Chargers "as a precautionary measure."

The team said Tuesday that Collie "encountered symptoms from his previous injury." Collie sustained a concussion on Nov. 7 vs. the Eagles. He left last Sunday's game against the Patriots after catching five passes for 60 yards.

The Colts also announced S Bob Sanders will not play on Sunday. Sanders (biceps) has not played since the season opener.

The Colts placed S Chip Vaughn (ankle) on injured reserve and signed former Bears S Al Afalava.

The way we see it

The Colts have been reaching to find weapons for Peyton Manning this season because of so many injuries. Collie was having another stellar injury before the concussion. This will mean more playing time for undrafted rookie Blair White.

Afalava started 13 games in his rookie season with the Bears in 2009. The Colts' safeties have also been bit by the injury bug this year, and Afalava can provide another body back there.

Fantasy Spin

Owners who were pleased to see Collie return to their lineups will have to keep waiting for him to be 100 percent healthy. White had two TDs against the Patriots and could be a decent start as a third wideout in fantasy leagues.
