Here's a matchup to watch in the Week 12 Thanksgiving Day game between the Patriots and Lions:

Patriots kick coverage vs. Lions KR Stefan Logan

What is the recipe for an upset? Create turnovers, control the time of possession and hope for a big, momentum-shifting play. There are few plays more momentum-shifting than a kickoff return for a touchdown, and the Lions have a guy who is always a threat in that department in the form of Stefan Logan.

Logan already has a 105-yard kickoff return for a TD this season and is gaining 28.2 yards per return. The Lions lead the league in kick return average while the Patriots are 16th in opponent's kick return average.

In Week 11, Colts KR Brandon James gained 15.8 yards per kickoff return against the Patriots. The Pats' kick coverage specialists are LBs Dane Fletcher and Tracy White and DBs Patrick Chung and Devin McCourty. They did give up a 95-yard kickoff return for a TD to Bills RB C.J. Spiller in Week Three.

The Lions should be able to throw against the Patriots and if they can get solid field position from Logan's returns, they certainly can make it a close game.
