The Dolphins signed veteran OL Eric Ghiaciuc and placed OG-C Cory Procter on injured reserve.
Procter started at center for the Dolphins in their Thursday-night loss to the Bears but suffered a torn ACL early in the game. He was starting in place of the injured Joe Berger.
Ghiaciuc is a fifth-year veteran out of Central Michigan and a 2005 fourth-round pick of the Bengals. He started 42-of-48 games with the Bengals from 2005-08.
The way we see it
The Dolphins are severely hurting along the O-line. OLT Jake Long is playing with a dislocated shoulder, ORT Vernon Carey has been banged up all season and Berger remains out. Guiaciuc is a veteran who could help immediately.
