Vince Young threw his shoulder pads and left LP Field immediately following the Titans' overtime loss to the Redskins, according to PFW correspondent and Tennessean reporter Jim Wyatt, ending his time as the team's starting quarterback.

Young left the game to a chorus of boos after injuring his thumb. He dressed quickly and raced out of the team's locker room before the media was allowed in for interview. Tennessee safety Michael Griffin allegedly chased after Young to speak with him, but to no avail.

Following the incident, head coach Jeff Fisher said that Young has lost his job as the team's starting QB, injury or not. The QB was 12-of-16 for 165 yards before the injury.

The way we see it

Young's behavior over the course of his career has been bizarre, but this appears to be the last straw for Fisher and the Titans. Expect Kerry Collins or rookie Rusty Smith to get the remainder of snaps this season; the team may even opt to release Young.
