Despite extensive practice this week and optimism from his head coach, Saints RB Reggie Bush is inactive for Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks.
Bush broke his fibula in Week Two and said Friday that he expected to play. Julius Jones will get the start at running back for the Saints with Pierre Thomas still out with an ankle injury.
S Darren Sharper and TE Jeremy Shockey are also inactive.
The way we see it
The Saints' running game has struggled since Week Three and it has hampered the offense at times. Getting Bush back would have been a big boost, but the Saints are big favorites against Seattle. He should be back for the Thanksgiving game against the Cowboys, and Thomas could be ready for that game as well.

If you need a back at this point in the day Sunday, snag Jones, as he will be getting the bulk of the carries, although the Seahawks have a solid run defense. And apologies to Bush's owners who were excited for him to finally return.
