Starting role or not, lost season aside, Cowboys rookie WR Dez Bryant has shown enough to this point that you safely can say he has the talent to be one of the best wideouts in the game. He has shown acrobatic receiving skills, excellent hands and a knack for running after the catch with a bit of a violent streak. What will make him a star and a complete receiver comes in learning how to be a pro. The first knock on Bryant is that he still needs to learn the offense. There are times when he lines up in the wrong spot, runs incorrect routes or makes improper adjustments. That's why, early on, you saw the Cowboys basically throwing it to him on short bubble routes and just letting him run with it. His route tree has expanded since then, but mastery of the offense will be a crucial step. The next is learning to be a pro. Bryant fell asleep in team meetings, we hear, and wasn't held accountable by Wade Phillips but has learned quickly that won't fly with Jason Garrett.
