Texans QB Matt Schaub missed Wednesday's practice after spending Tuesday night in the hospital with a bursa sac issue in his knee.

"(He) is doing well, and I expect him to get out (Wednesday) afternoon," Kubiak said. "He should be here (Thursday), so everything should be OK."

Schaub will not require surgery and is expected to play on Sunday. The team doesn't know what caused the issue.

If Schaub can't play, Dan Orlovsky or Matt Leinart would start in his place.

The way we see it

With Schaub expected back at practice on Thursday, the incident should be nothing more than a minor setback in his preparation for Sunday's game against the Jets.
