Vikings RB Adrian Peterson was ticketed for speeding on Monday for driving 53 mph in a 35-mph zone near the team's practice facility. It is the second time Peterson has been ticketed for speeding in the past year, the first coming last November when he was charged with going 109 mph in a 55-mph zone on a Minneapolis highway.

The way we see it

Not to condone breaking the law, but Peterson receiving a speeding ticket is the least of the Vikings' worries at this point. With an important NFC North game vs. the Packers on Sunday, the 3-6 team needs to start playing better immediately if it wants any chance of keeping its slim playoff hopes alive.
