The Bengals replaced PK Mike Nugent on Tuesday by signing another former Ohio State Buckeye, Aaron Pettrey.

Pettrey, an undrafted rookie, led the Big Ten with 72 points and 14 field goals despite missing four games with a torn MCL last season. He grew up 90 minute from Cincinnati.

Nugent tore his the ACL in his kicking knee in Sunday's loss to the Colts.

The Bengals also signed OT Kirk Chambers, a sixth-year veteran out of Stanford, taking the roster spot of CB Morgan Trent.

The way we see it

The Bengals joined the Steelers as teams looking for kickers this week, and had their choice of veterans before taking the rookie Pettrey.
