Week 10 Players of the Week

Tom Brady  /  QB /  New England Patriots

The normally composed Brady seemed to lose his cool on a couple occasions at Pittsburgh in Week 10, pushing his teammates to raise their game while he took apart one of the league's best defenses and helped the Patriots recover from their loss to the Browns. Brady didn't hide his passion, and his focus was clear, too. He connected with rookie TE Rob Gronkowski for three touchdown passes and also scored on a three-yard run in New England's 39-26 victory. The Steelers hit Brady, who completed 30-of-43 passes for 350 yards, three times, but failed to register a sack and gave up a season-high 453 yards. Few other quarterbacks are capable of making Dick LeBeau's defense look that bad.

Mario Haggan  /  OLB  /  Denver Broncos

It took career days from Haggan and a couple other Broncos, including QB Kyle Orton, who fired four touchdown passes, but Denver snapped its four-game losing streak. Haggan doubled his career sack total in Week 10 alone, sacking Chiefs QB Matt Cassel three times for losses of 32 yards and forcing a fumble in Denver's 49-29 win. The frustration was building from all the losing, and the team faced a distraction when LB D.J. Williams was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving on Nov. 12. "We didn't flinch at all," Haggan said. "We love D.J. Everybody makes mistakes. I make them. I don't know a person who doesn't. It didn't affect us at all. Did it look like it?" He didn't have to ask twice.

Devin Hester  /  WR  /  Chicago Bears

The Bears went back to their old tricks in a game with major implications in the NFC North race. WR Devin Hester returned kickoffs for the first time this season, and he had the Vikings on their heels, breaking free for returns of 68 and 32 yards. He also had punt returns of 42 and five yards in Chicago's big win over the fading Vikings. "Everything just seemed so easy today," Hester said. "Guys just went out and busted their tails and got on their guys and gave me an opportunity to find holes." The Bears had good field position all afternoon and Hester still had enough energy to make a major contribution on offense. He had four catches for 38 yards and a touchdown.
