Bills rookie RB C.J. Spiller injured his hamstring in Sunday's 14-12 win over the Lions and is out indefinitely.

"I can't imagine him playing this week," head coach Chan Gailey said.

Spiller was the team's first-round draft pick in April and was hit along the sideline on a punt return in the second quarter.

The No. 9 overall pick has 41 carries for 164 yards and 18 catches for 81 yards and a TD. He also has a kickoff-return TD and had been returning punts for the injured Roscoe Parrish.

The way we see it

Spiller hasn't produced the way the Bills hoped when they drafted him, but he is still their future at running back. Fred Jackson will get more carries and they'll need to replace Spiller on kick returns.

Fantasy Spin

Spiller being out increases Jackson's value, and Jackson had a huge game against Detroit, so he is a definite start for fantasy purposes.
