Bengals PK Mike Nugent suffered a knee injury attempting to recover an onside kick and may be out for the season.

Nugent told reporters he felt some pain in his knee while he was running to recover the kick with 2:35 remaining in the fourth quarter. He needed to be carted off the field following the play.

"It doesn't look good," Nugent said.

Nugent is 15-of-19 on the year on field goals and had made all 17 of his extra points.

The way we see it

The Bengals would have likely brought in Shayne Graham, their kicker from 2003-09, but he was signed a week ago by the Patriots. Expect the team to make a move by Monday or Tuesday, likely by putting Nugent on injured reserve.
