I'm expecting a grinding, physical game, with neither team being able to establish much in the passing game. I believe the Browns can keep this close, and far be it from me to suggest they can't pull the upset after convincing wins vs. the Saints and Patriots.
However, the Jets have the superior defense. They shut down the run, and opponents are completing less than 50 percent of their passes. The Browns' sound, conservative approach on offense will allow them to rack up some hard-earned first downs and perhaps put together a couple longer drives, but I do not see them scoring many points.
I see this being close early — nice limb for me to step out on, I know; the Browns have played everyone tough in the first half this year — but the Jets will, at some point, create a turnover or two or flip field position once or twice on Cleveland and get the points necessary to win. The Jets' strong running game will be an asset on a cool, windy day in Cleveland.
Prediction: Jets 17, Browns 10
