The Patriots released their inactives for Sunday night's game against the Steelers and will be playing with just three active cornerbacks.
CB Darius Butler, OL Mark LeVoir, OG Stephen Neal, OL Rich Ohrnberger, S Jarrad Page, WR Taylor Price, DL Myron Pryor and RB Fred Taylor will be inactive for New England.
Butler started the first two games of the season for the Patriots before being benched. He is a healthy scratch. Devin McCourty, Jonathan Wilhite and Kyle Arrington are the active corners.
The Steelers will be without QB Charlie Batch, S Will Allen, RB Jonathan Dwyer, OT Chris Scott, OG Chris Kemoeatu, WR Antonio Brown, DE Aaron Smith and DE Brett Keisel.
The way we see it
For the Patriots, it's a big surprise to see how far Butler has fallen from the opening of the season. But the coaches are very impressed with McCourty and Arrington. The Patriots get a boost by having S Patrick Chung back for the first time since Week Seven. Rookie DL Kyle Love will be active for the second time, adding depth because of the injury to Myron Pryor. James Sanders is the No. 3 safety with Page out.
The Steelers are really hurting on both lines, and the Patriots may be able to take advantage of it, as they don't have many favorable matchups heading into the Sunday night game. OLB James Harrison (back spasms) is active after being questionable.
