Here's a look at a key matchup heading into Sunday's Week 10 battle between the Vikings and Bears:

Vikings DE Jared Allen vs. Bears OLT Frank Omiyale

Coming off a season-high 2½-sack performance against the Cardinals in Week Nine, some observers are wondering if Allen is finally back on track after not playing up to his potential for much of the season.

He'll line up across from Omiyale on Sunday, but the Bears probably won't hesitate to send a chipping back or a tight end to Omiyale's side if he struggles to slow down Allen one-on-one early in the game. Chicago has to hope Omiyale can get the job done on his own, since rookie ORT J'Marcus Webb could need help from an additional blocker against DE Ray Edwards, too. Offensive coordinator Mike Martz may have to ask his backs and tight ends to block more often that he would like.

The Bears' pass protection fared pretty well against the Bills in Week Nine - Jay Cutler was sacked only once - and Omiyale is serviceable. He has arms long and strong enough to disrupt Allen's pressure, but Allen has the speed and quickness to get past him.
