Ravens rookie DT Terrence Cody impressed in Baltimore's 26-21 loss at Atlanta Thursday, notching a career-best five tackles in a reserve role. Cody, a massive run stuffer from Alabama, aided a Baltimore run defense that shut down a rugged Atlanta running game, limiting the Falcons to 60 yards rushing and no rush longer than eight yards. Afterward, head coach John Harbaugh noted that Cody seemed to play "pretty well," though he deferred further judgment until he had a chance to see the tape. While the 349-pound Cody is tough to move, he also moves relatively well, as evidenced when he worked to his left to help bring down RB Michael Turner for just a one-yard gain in the second quarter. In a recent interview with PFW, DL coach Clarence Brooks praised Cody's work ethic and progress. "We're looking forward to big things from him," Brooks said. A knee injury stunted Cody's development early in the season, but he could be ready to deliver on his promise.
