Here's another key matchup from Sunday's Vikings-Bears game in Chicago:
Vikings WR Percy Harvin vs. Bears CB D.J. Moore
This is not an every-down matchup, as Harvin has had to play outside more since Randy Moss left town. But the fact that Bernard Berrian came on last week and Greg Camarillo had his best game as a Viking, the team might be more willing to use more three-WR sets. Harvin does most of his damage in the slot, and Moore is the Bears' nickel corner.
Moore has shown a knack for playmaking this season with three interceptions and an additional five passes defended. He will gamble with his quick instincts to read hot routes such as slants and hooks and will try to jump in front for the interception going the other way. Moore will have to contend with Harvin's quickness in and out of his breaks, even with the wideout hobbling on a bum ankle and dealing with migraines.
These two have some history, facing off in the SEC, but Harvin mostly was a running back in the Gators' spread-option offense. This time, he'll line up opposite Moore more often. Moore's tackling ability will be tested against Harvin, who is built like a running back and runs with power.
