Former New York Jets employee Jenn Sterger finally met with NFL officials in New York City Thursday regarding the ongoing investigation into alleged text and voice messages sent to her by Brett Favre.

Sterger, a former Jets sideline hostess who most recently worked for Versus TV network, allegedly received sexual-related text and voice messages from Favre when both were employed by the Jets in 2008. Favre could face disciplinary action under the league's personal-conduct policy, with harassment of a team employee a possible issue.

The NFL has been investigating the matter for several weeks since the existence of the text messages was revealed on Deadspin.com. The NFL's vice president for security Milt Ahlerich met with Favre regarding the matter on Oct. 19. The league had attempted to meet with Sterger multiple times before Thursday.

Phil Reese, Sterger's agent, told The Associated Press in an e-mail that Sterger met with league officials. "We cooperated fully by providing them with substantial materials in our possession. We now await the NFL's decision," he added.
