Saints FS Darren Sharper has played in only three games and still isn't 100 percent as he shakes off the rust that accumulated while he sat out all of the preseason and the first six weeks of the regular season recovering from knee surgery. However, he is already making an impact. He has had a hand in two takeaways, and the importance of having him back cannot be overstated, according to team observers. Sharper gives the Saints more flexibility in how they use their defensive backs, and some say he'll be a bigger factor in the second half of this season than he was in the second half of 2009, when the knee injury nagged him. Sharper is staying in New Orleans during the team's off week to get treatment on his left hamstring, which he strained against the Panthers in Week Nine. He's expected to play against Seattle in Week 11 and will continue to share reps as a situational sub for Malcolm Jenkins.
