Rams OT Jason Smith has been cleared to play in Sunday's game vs. the 49ers after missing Week Eight because of a concussion.

Smith was injured in practice leading up to the Rams' 20-10 victory over the Panthers in Week Eight. He missed that game and, because the Rams had a bye in Week Nine, will miss only one game

Renardo Foster started in Smith's ORT spot against the Panthers.

The way we see it

The Rams have had things rolling of late and are tied atop the NFC West. However, they face a good defense this weekend against San Francisco. Smith, the No. 2 overall pick in 2009, can add some protection for rookie QB Sam Bradford with his return.
