The Colts claimed RB Joique Bell off waivers from the Eagles, the team announced Thursday.

Bell signed with the Bills in April and spent time on their practice squad before signing with the Eagles. He appeared in three games with Philly.

The way we see it

The Colts have been playing backups at running back with starter Joseph Addai hurt. With backup Mike Hart out of Sunday's loss to Philadelphia with an ankle injury, RBs Donald Brown and Javarris James carried the load, and James scored two TDs. In the Pro Football Weekly 2010 Draft Preview book, Nolan Nawrocki wrote that Bell, "can compete for a job running between the tackles but is a step slow and not as nifty as scouts would like."
