Cowboys DE Marcuse Spears suffered a calf strain in the team's Week Nine blowout loss to the Packers and will miss the next 4-6 weeks.

Spears is the latest of Dallas defensive lineman who are banged up, joining DE Jason Hatcher and DT Sean Lissemore on the sidelines. DT Josh Brent also missed part of the Green Bay game due to cramps.

The team is expected to sign a defensive lineman, as they have none on their practice squad to elevate to the 53-man roster.

The way we see it

The news in Dallas just keeps getting worse. Spears wasn't playing very well before the injury, having registered no sacks on the year, but seeing a top lineman go down is not what the team needs to turn around their season after a 1-7 start.
