Former Packers CB Al Harris has cleared waivers and can sign with any team.

The Packers released Harris on Monday. He had been on the physically-unable-to-perform list following offseason knee surgery but had not played since being taken off the PUP list following Week Six.

Teams in the NFC North were rumored to be among the teams interested in Harris, looking for a veteran corner. Harris' agent, Jack Bechta, told Brad Biggs of National Football Post that he is currently in negotiations with multiple teams.

The Lions, Vikings, Eagles, Texans and Jaguars have all been mentioned as possible suitors.

The way we see it

Harris is a Pro Bowler with 21 career interceptions. While his health is a major question mark, it's still a surprise no one claimed him, considering the need for cornerbacks around the league. Don't expect him to be a free agent for much longer.
