The Dolphins signed OT Matt Kopa and placed OT Patrick Brown on waivers on Tuesday.

They signed Kopa off the 49ers' practice squad, where he had spent the first nine weeks of this season. He joined the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in June.

The Dolphins signed Brown on Sept. 25. He has not played in a game this season.

The way we see it

Brown was added for tackle depth when Jake Long and Vernon Carey were dinged up at the beginning of the season. They likely see Kopa as a better developmental player for their squad.
