The Giants' offensive line has battled through injuries this season and still has one of the top rushing offenses in the league. But Sunday's win over the Seahawks brought another blow to the unit.
C Adam Koets tore his ACL and is likely done for the season. Plus, OL David Diehl is undergoing tests Monday on a sprained hip.
Koets had been filling in for Shaun O'Hara, who sprained his right foot in Week Seven. O'Hara also missed time earlier this season with a left ankle injury.
The way we see it
Koets had done a nice job as O'Hara's fill in, but O'Hara should return this Sunday. Both guys work well with QB Eli Manning, but O'Hara is more trusted. Diehl would be a loss, and Shawn Andrews likely would be sped up and put in as the starting left tackle.
Andrews has been on the field a lot more as an extra offensive tackle. Also, the Giants may activate OL Kevin Boothe from the physically-unable-to-perform list. Boothe has been practicing for the past two weeks.
