The Bengals signed DT Clinton McDonald from the practice squad and waived CB Rico Murray on Monday.

McDonald, a seventh-round draft choice in 2009, spent the entire '09 season on the Bengals' practice squad.

Murray played in the Week Eight game against the Dolphins after spending the first six games on the practice squad. As a rookie in '09, he played in four games.

The way we see it

The Bengals are healthier in the secondary than they are along the defensive line. Murray was brought up with injuries in the defensive backfield, but Johnathan Joseph is back for Monday night's game against the Steelers. DTs Tank Johnson and Jonathan Fanene are banged up, so McDonald provides another body up front.
