The Panthers' backfield is filled with backups after a pair of injuries early on in their game vs. the Saints.

QB Matt Moore suffered a shoulder injury following a first-quarter hit by New Orleans DT Sedrick Ellis. Jimmy Clausen is currently under center for Carolina.

RB Jonathan Stewart needed to be carted off after a head injury. Saints FS Darren Sharper hit Stewart in the helmet with his shoulder, and the running back was on the ground for several minutes before being carted off. Regular Carolina starter DeAngelo Williams is out for a second straight game with a sprained left foot, leaving Mike Goodson and Tyrell Sutton as the Panthers' only healthy RBs.

The way we see it

Beating the Super Bowl champs was going to be tough with Moore and Stewart playing, but the Panthers' task becomes even tougher with both players on the sidelines.
