The Seahawks released WR Ruvell Martin and C Chris White on Saturday, just three days after they had been added to the roster. The moves were made so the team could promote OT Breno Giacomini and QB Zac Robinson from its practice squad to the 53-man roster.

With starting OLT Russell Okung doubtful for Sunday's game because of a high ankle sprain suffered two weeks ago, Giacomini may be needed. He has played in one regular-season game during his three-year career, with Green Bay in 2008.

Robinson will be the backup quarterback Sunday behind Charlie Whitehurst, who'll be making his first-ever regular-season start as a result of a concussion sustained by Matt Hasselbeck.
