The Packers have activated veteran SS Atari Bigby from the physically-unable-to-perform list in time to possibly contribute in Green Bay’s Sunday-night game at Lambeau Field against Dallas. Bigby played in 42 games with 33 starts in his first five years (2005-09) with the Packers and posted 10 interceptions over the past three seasons. He had been sidelined since undergoing ankle surgery in August.
The Packers have yet to decide whether or not CB Al Harris will also be activated off the PUP list, and they have until Monday before making a decision on the veteran cornerback.
The way we see it
Considering the way Charlie Peprah has been playing lately as the starting strong safety, it’s unlikely Bigby will be starting right away, if at all. But his physical presence and playmaking flair should certainly help the Packers’ secondary.
