Patriots RB Fred Taylor (toe) and S Jarrad Page (calf) have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Browns.
WR Deion Branch (hamstring), S Patrick Chung (knee) and WR Matthew Slater (knee) were listed as questionable. Branch played last Sunday against the Vikings, while Chung missed the game despite both of them practicing last week. Branch told PFW correspondent Ian Rapoport that he is going to play. Slater is a special-teams contributor.
Taylor has not played since Week Two, and Page has not played since leaving Week Six's game against the Ravens.
The way we see it
The Patriots are used to Taylor being out, and RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis will continue to be the team's primary back with Danny Woodhead as the third-down back. Page being out moves James Sanders up to the No. 3 safety role Sanders had earlier in the season. If Chung can't go, Sanders will start again alongside Brandon Meriweather. Branch should be good to go, but his production was down last week, so look for WR Brandon Tate to get more looks if Branch is still hobbled.
