Buccaneers DT Brian Price's rookie season came to a disappointing conclusion, as he was placed on injured reserve Nov. 2 with what the team had described as a pelvis injury. Price's agent provided some clarity when he said his client will undergo surgery to repair a pelvic fracture and that Price is expected to return in time for next season. Price was inactive in Weeks Seven and Eight, and it's not clear when he first suffered the fracture. A source said the move was a blessing for Price, who showed toughness while struggling to stay healthy since training camp. The Bucs were hoping Price, a second-round pick, and fellow rookie Gerald McCoy would grow as a tandem on the D-line's interior this year, but the team will have to wait to get a longer look at how the two play together. We're told Price will be going to meetings and doing a lot of learning while he's on I.R.
