Even if the Broncos do continue to slip further out of playoff contention, we hear that Denver is in no rush to expand the role of rookie QB Tim Tebow. A source close to the team said the Broncos are more than pleased with what QB Kyle Orton has accomplished this season, and Denver doesn't want to send the wrong signal by replacing their starter. Tebow has been successful in limited action so far and has scored touchdowns on his only two rushing attempts in the red zone. Josh McDaniels' legacy as head coach of the Broncos will forever tied with Tebow, which could keep McDaniels from giving the rookie too big of a role early in his career. There is still question as to whether Tebow is ready, as he has not attempted a pass at the season's midway point. A source close to the team said Tebow believes he can contribute now, but he is completely happy in his current role.
