For those who were wondering if something was wrong with Saints QB Drew Brees, a potential answer presented itself when a radio show host in New Orleans suggested Thursday that Brees had a fracture and a torn meniscus in his left knee. The Saints refuted the rumor, which said that the supposed knee injury was having an impact on Brees' performance, and sources have agreed with the team's characterization of it. Brees first hurt the knee Sept. 26 in a game against the Falcons, but he didn't miss a practice and has not appeared on the team's injury report at any point since then. Brees still leads the league in completion percentage and looked about as good as he ever had in the second half of New Orleans' win over the Steelers in Week Eight, so whether the knee is bothering him or not, it doesn't appear to be taking a toll on his play.
