It seems more evident that the Titans claimed WR Randy Moss at the right time. Titans Insider, citing a league source, is reporting that WR Kenny Britt could miss 6-8 weeks because of a right hamstring injury.

Britt suffered the injury early in the Titans' loss to the Chargers in Week Eight after exploding with a career game against the Eagles the previous week, with seven catches for 225 yards and three touchdowns in the Titans' win.

The Titans have a bye in Week Nine, but already have declared Britt out for their Week 10 game against the Dolphins. Head coach Jeff Fisher has maintained, along with Britt, that the injury is not a season-ending one.

The way we see it

This news further explains the Titans' gamble in claiming Moss off waivers on Wednesday. We knew Britt would miss some time, but the injury appears to be more serious than once thought. Britt has been a solid deep threat for a Titans team that likes to throw the ball downfield, and Moss will be able to replace him in the offense until Britt gets healthy. This is still a blow to the Titans who could present quite the passing attack with both Britt and Moss in the lineup.
