Fans are starting to realize the Lions are better than their 2-5 record. Or they just want to see Rex Ryan's Jets.
Lions president Tom Lewand said Sunday's game against the Jets has sold out and the local television blackout will be lifted.
Last weekend, the Lions defeated the Redskins in a game that was blacked out on local television with plenty of empty seats in the stadium.
The way we see it
The Lions put together an exciting victory over Donovan McNabb and the Redskins in Week Eight, and with QB Matthew Stafford back to throw to WR Calvin Johnson, the Lions' offense looks improved. Plus there's a budding star on the defense in the form of rookie DT Ndamukong Suh. If the Lions keep playing well they will avoid more blackouts. Lewand added that Lions fans have shown that if the team wins, they will show up, as opposed to other NFL teams that struggle to sell out.
