By PFW staff

Jaguars FS Don Carey has been fined $12,500 for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Cowboys TE Jason Witten last Sunday. Witten was not injured on the play.

PFW correspondent Vito Stellino said Carey expected to be fined more for the hit. Carey said he didn't intend to hit Witten in the head.

The way we see it

With players getting fined anywhere from $20,000 to even $50,000, Carey can consider himself lucky that he only got fined $12,500 for his hit.
