Steelers OLB James Harrison met with league officials on Wednesday and he spoke his mind to commissioner Roger Goodell regarding the league's stricter policy on hits.
On Thursday, the league fined Harrison, again.
Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that Harrison was fined $20,000 for a late hit on Saints QB Drew Brees in Sunday night's loss. He hit Brees from behind after the QB had thrown a pass.
Harrison has now been fined $100,000 by the league for three hits this season.
The way we see it
After watching the highlight, Harrison clearly makes the hit well after Brees threw the ball and made no effort to slow himself down. He also lowered his head, hitting Brees in the back with his helmet. Like the policy or not, Harrison needs to follow it or he could be the first suspended under the new crackdown.
