Here’s a look at a key matchup heading into the Week Nine prime-time battle between the Packers and Cowboys.

Packers CBs Charles Woodson and Tramon Williams vs. Cowboys WRs Miles Austin, Dez Bryant and Roy Williams

Both Woodson and Williams are coming off strong Week Eight outings highlighted by interceptions that they wrestled away from the Jets’ Dustin Keller and Jerricho Cotchery, respectively. Williams was especially good, adding a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, two pass breakups and five tackles to the mix against the Jets.

Green Bay’s starting corners will have to keep up the good work against a very tough trio of receivers, each of whom has excellent speed. Austin and Williams, who is having his best season as a Cowboy in his third season with the team, are both gaining an impressive 14.9 yards per catch, with Williams leading the team in touchdowns with five and Austin leading the team in catches with 43. Austin put up big numbers last week in the Cowboys’ loss to the Jaguars, with seven catches for 117 yards — already his fourth 100-yard game this season.

But the most explosive of the three — when he knows his assignment — could be Bryant, who had seven catches for 84 yards against Jacksonville and has excellent strength to go with his breakaway speed and flair for making eye-pleasing catches.
