LAKE FOREST, Ill. — If the Bears decide to put a claim in on WR Randy Moss before the 4 p.m. ET deadline Wednesday, it won't be because QB Jay Cutler pushed them to do so, according to the quarterback.
Cutler said no members of Chicago's front office or coaching staff had asked for his opinion on Moss, who was waived by the Vikings on Tuesday.
"I haven't been asked," Cutler said. "I think it would be hard for anybody to come into the situation with our offense and learn, but (Moss is) a very talented guy."
Cutler was asked if he would voluntarily offer his opinion on whether the Bears should pursue Moss.
"Maybe if we were (in the office) and they asked, but I don't think they will," Cutler said. "It's tough right now. We're getting ready for Buffalo. We've got enough to worry about."
