The Texans placed veteran DE Adewale Ogunleye on waivers on Tuesday and replaced him with practice-squad LB Tim Jamison.

Houston Chronicle writer and PFW correspondent John McClain first reported the move.

The Texans signed Ogunleye as a free agent after DE Connor Barwin was placed on injured reserve. In four games, the 10th-year veteran recorded just two tackles.

Jamison is a second-year player who was on the Texans' roster last season.

The way we see it

The Texans added Ogunleye in their search for a good pass-rushing complement to Mario Williams. Mark Anderson was brought in for the same reason and had four tackles in Monday night's loss to the Colts. The team felt Ogunleye wasn't what they needed at defensive end and want to see what Jamison can provide to the defense.
