Packers veteran WR Donald Driver told Bill Michaels of 620 AM in Milwaukee Tuesday that he will miss Green Bay's game this Sunday evening against the Cowboys.

Driver has been extremely limited the last two games with a nagging quad injury, and it would appear the Packers are shutting him down to give him two weeks to regain his health, with Green Bay’s bye week coming up after the Dallas game. Both James Jones and Jordy Nelson can be expected to see plenty of action in the slot in place of Driver this Sunday.

The way we see it

It makes sense to keep Driver out against Dallas, as he has been more of a liability than anything the last couple of games. But both Jones and Nelson need to step up their games, particularly Jones, who had a bad effort against the Jets.
