On Monday, Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan told reporters McNabb was not in good enough shape to run a two-minute offense with no timeouts. Shanahan stunningly pulled QB Donovan McNabb with 1:50 to play, trailing by five to the Lions on Sunday.

Shanahan said McNabb has been hampered by hamstring injuries and did not have the "cardiovascular endurance" to lead the team in crunch time.

The way we see it

More confusion out of Washington with this news that Shanahan believed McNabb wasn't physically able to lead the team to victory. McNabb was the Redskins' prized offseason acquisition and the story has gone from Shanahan not trusting McNabb to now that the QB was physically able to play, but not healthy enough to lead a two-minute drill.
